The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) recruit(s) casuals to assist with various processing functions for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) external assessments and other projects.

Employment opportunities are predominantly available in the Assessment Operations business unit during October and November of each year for VCE external assessment processing. These positions are based at the VCAA Assessment Centre, 189 Urquhart Street, Coburg. Occasionally other areas of the VCAA (including the City office, 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne) may require casual staff.

Registration for casual employment takes place on an annual basis. All casuals who have worked in previous years (or previously registered and not worked) and want to be considered for casual employment opportunities are required to apply in the current year.

All applications are valid for one year only.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Proficient computer and data entry skills
• Ability to work to strict timelines
• Flexibility and willingness to move between jobs and areas depending on business requirements
• Confident telephone manner and ability to communicate with VCAA staff and stakeholders
